002057 or 002058 - City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-chipper

Train in the health and safety requirements for operating a wood-chipper, and learn how to operate and maintain it.

First Aid Plus F

Learn about first aid within the forestry industry and receive a certificate of training in Emergency First Aid at work +F.

Pesticides (PA1, PA6, PA2)

This course covers pesticide training. Plant protection and pest control products need to be used legally, safely and competently. City & Guilds qualifications provide assessment of both underpinning knowledge and practical skills.

City and Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) 

This course is for people who intend to use a chainsaw from a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP), and covers various aspects including safe working loads, hazard awareness and emergency procedures.

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Stump Grinders

Learning outcomes include knowledge of the health and safety requirements for operating a stump grinder, how to operate a stump grinder, and how to maintain the machine.

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Brush-cutters and Trimmers

If you operate a brush-cutter or trimmer as part of your horticulture, arboriculture or forestry work, then this is the qualification you need.

Chainsaw awareness day 

A Chainsaw Awareness Day is an event where our specialist visits people's homes or organises meet-ups with charities and the general public to teach them how to use a chainsaw safely. During these sessions, we cover everything you need to know about chainsaws, including:

  • How to handle and operate a chainsaw correctly

  • Important safety tips to prevent accidents

  • Proper techniques for cutting and removing trees

These events are designed to help everyone, from homeowners to volunteers, feel confident and safe while using a chainsaw. Whether you're working on your own property or helping out in the community, our chainsaw awareness day ensures you have the knowledge and skills to do the job right.
